We, the Yıldız Technical University Food Engineering Department (IFIS 2024 Congress Organizing Committee), are working to make our website at ifis.yildiz.edu.tr accessible to individuals with disabilities.

What is Web Accessibility?

An accessible website ensures that individuals with disabilities can use the site with the same or similar ease and enjoyment as other users. This is made possible by the system's hardware capabilities and supporting technologies (screen readers, keyboard navigation, color contrast systems, etc.).

Accessibility Adjustments Made to the Site

This website has been brought into compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines and the following adjustments have been made:

  • Potential issues were identified and corrected using the Accessibility Wizard.

  • The site language was defined and the HTML structure was optimized.

  • Page titles and content hierarchy were adjusted.

  • Descriptive alternative text (alt text) was added to all images.

  • Color combinations were determined according to required contrast ratios.

  • The use of animated content and animations was minimized.

  • Videos, audio, and documents were uploaded in accessible formats.

External content used on some pages (e.g., Google Maps, YouTube videos, external forms) may fall outside the scope of this standard.

YTU Davutpaşa Congress Center offers the following accessibility features:
